The Soil and Water Conservation District provides leadership to residents in conservation and assists with planning, designing, and installing conservation measures. This department also provides animal waste management assistance and sponsors and develops educational programs.

1) Collaborate with the VAD Board and Piedmont Land Conservancy to identify at least one applicationthat can be sent to the North Carolina Agriculture Development and Farmland Preservation Program.
2) Contact at least 25% of the VAD participants about renewals rate.
3) Partner with the City of Graham to plant sunflowers at Graham Regional Park.
4) Provide agriculture education at the following:a. Teacher Leadership Academy Ag Day- ABSSb. Leadership Alamance- Chamber of Commercec. Host the Area and State Envirothon
5) Make a brochure to advertise the No-Till drill rental availability.
6) Develop a portal/webpage for the Preservation Alamance Program.
